Creative writing techniques, especially poetry and prose are my main focus and I have experience of teaching to graduate level. As a creative writing facilitator I am very interested in learners finding their own voice and themes through the use of inspirational techniques, image generation, creative visualisation and juxtapositioning of ephemera.
The/Poetry/Fold’s signature courses “The Horse & The Tomato” and “Strange Bedfellows” use visual art, music, surrealist word games and many other unusual approaches to generate ideas for writing a creative projects.
I have a lot of experience of sourcing, researching, planning, devising and delivering creative writing modules and of the attendant administration and moderation involved in grading students work in an HEI environment.
