The last class visit

all our legs
came to the clearing
sit-here-Theresa took my coat
and dropped it

we stood, all of us
on all our legs
and watched the distance ahead
and the birds were singing

it's so large, she said
and leant on the arm
of a wooden bench

she looked at me
and saw my sister
I could hear the words

moving in her head

it was cold
it was morning
sit-here-Theresa
considered the edge
